August Art + Acoustic Sounds

What good would summer in Bancroft be without an outdoor art installation, house concert and bonfire? Guess what friends you’re in luck! Nicole E. Schlosser is gathering a few good people from Atelier Presse Papier to bring you a garden of silk screened works that are part of a project called 123 PARC that will be displayed around the grounds of ORA. Through play and art 123 PARC encourages the discussion of values such as ecology, agriculture, food and social commitment.

We’re also glad to have local musician Ian Russell back for another house concert performance!

This mid August event is bound to be an impressive, creative and fun filled afternoon/evening so don’t let summer pass by without joining us. 123 PARC will be installed and available for viewing anytime after 1pm on Saturday. There will be a silk screening demonstration around 3pm, feel free to bring a t-shirt or other fabric clothing to have it silk screened with a new Owl Ridge Acres design! Ian Russell will be playing a beautiful set in the living room while the daylight fades to dusk. Then feel free to hang out for a fire, bring a chair, a blanket and fingers crossed we won’t need bug spray.
